There are a billion teacher ed tech sites out there. This is not your typical site though.
This site is not for the teacher who has attended CUE every year and can name an alternative for every tool. This site isn’t even for the teacher who has used a few different apps in class and feels comfortable with their computer. This site is for the teacher who loves the smell of chalk and never noticed the school Wi-Fi went out in the before times. This is the site for the teacher who panics when the trainer gives instructions too quickly. This is the site for the teacher who may never watch one of the videos but will print up the paper guides.
There is a perception that great teachers must be great with technology. This is absolutely not true. Some of the best teachers that I know and admire aren’t great with technology. Too often, credential programs assume a district will handle tech training, and districts assume credential programs will take care of it. Even if you are competent with technology outside the classroom, that does not always translate to inside the classroom. Every tutorial I post here will have a short video, passing period time, along with a paper guide to help you clearly navigate and understand no matter how you like to work with technology.
